The O lineman just stay in his stance. Obviously had an absent or petit mal seizure. Funny looking though. However, those poking fun at him without realizing he was having a seizure on the airwaves need to be corrected. With that being said, he sure as hell was not going to jump off sides, even if a meteor dropped on the field.

Nothing atually, or at least he'll likely have no memory of it. All points to a seizure.

All season long, on off sides penalties, the offensive line has not moved. He was just the only one to do it this time. See this LINK.

I think it is supposed to be a demonstration of their discipline. But they have done it in multiple games this season - perhaps something they are doing in practice carrying over in to the game? I'm not a FSU fan, so I don't know.

I see these comments on your link:

quote:

they do it because it is a free play... if they get a big gain off of the play and the o-line doesnt move they can decline the penalty but if the o-line were to move then the ball would be whistled dead and the penalty would be automatically enforced so they dont get the free play
quote:

hes not an idiot he taught the linemen to not move if theres on offsides its 110% pure discipline

maybe not a seizure afterall.

It is hard to tell from that angle, but maybe the right side of the line felt like the DT was lined up off sides.

It may be that the center snapped the ball too early. If the lineman are drilled to not move an inch until they hear the proper snap count - its possible that's what's happening. Center snaps it on one when its supposed to be two - the rest of the line sees the D running past them and decides to move, but the guy who isn't moving at all is just doing what he's coached to do - he never heard the proper snap count - so he doesn't move, period.

My guess is the rest of the O-line will be doing laps for this while the guy who stood still sits on the bench and laughs at them.
