Me and Brad are in an online dynasty and we played head-to-head and he finally beat me so I have to rock this for a week. He had one saying he was my bitch a little while back.

On a related note, how pissed are you that the Astros couldn't (or didn't) get Shane Victorino?

Yea I know. I wonder if his name came up in those talks at all? Anything else on the Astros-Peavy front?

I just don't understand giving up Brad Lidge for an unproven CF that remains unproven. Lidge got the Phils to the W.S. and I'm positive that Bourn's bat cost us some games.

Meh, not to much on Peavy. I still don't think we have enough to give up. I'd like to have Peavy but I really don't think its worth giving up the future in Pence and prospects that we can't afford to lose. Brian McTaggert of the Houston chronicle wrote a blog today saying that Drayton should give what it takes to get Peavy, as well as bring back Andy Pettite. LINK

I definitely wouldn't give up Pence for Peavy. Pence is too much of a stud OF. If anything, give up Lee.

Pads want to cut payroll which is why they want youth. Plus Lee has a no trade clause which he sure as hell won't waive since he has his ranch near Houston and does his livestock auctions around Houston.

That is an interesting read. I am on the fence personally. I would hate losing Pence, but Peavy is just so dominant. Maybe since Peavy is on the market people will forget about Sheets and the Astros might could sign him for a bargain. They absolutely must get another pitcher if they want to be a serious threat next season.

Not if he hits as well as he did pre-injury. He was absolutely EN FUEGO.

He sure was. He got off to a little bit of a slower start but he was heating up when he went down. I like having him on the field. You know he is going to hit 30 homers and drive in 100 every year without striking out 100 times. I think we have the potential of 2 outfielders with .300 300 100 every year. 91, if you go to www.chron.com/blogs, there are 4 blogs i believe that are Astros specific and Richard Justice does quite a few on the astros as well.

someone told me if the phillies were up 2-1 and they canceled the game for the night that they would give the W for the phillies. I know this is true during the regular season but is it the same for the world series???

I'm not sure. Since it was an official game, it wouldn't have to be played and the Phils could get the W. But with it being the world Series, I'm sure they would continue play.
