After all the crap that Chris took from both the local and national media while at Texas you would think that Phil would've developed some tougher skin by now.

to me, it is a big difference whether howard told simms this directly or if he just stated that opinion on the air ... according to the story, it sounds like howard said that to him directly .. if so, you can't blame simms for getting pissed at someone saying that to him about his kid .. but threatening to hit him was a bit over the top .. and howard's "let's go" crap and bragging on twitter is over the top two .. they both sound like douches in this situation ..

its a poorly written story but looking at the twitter from Howard at the bottom it was from Howard saying it on air before the LSU game. Simms raised a bunch of pussies, he made a deal with Mack Brown to have Chrissy handed the starting job over the fricking Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Chrissy showed up to UT in a stretch limo, the Tenn son seems like a huge douche watching his TD celebrations and sideline antics. He and Tyler Bray are made for each other.

yeah, i just noticed that after i posted .. if that's the case .. then that's just an on air opinion .. that's an arena simms is just going to have to accept the fact that he and his sons chose to enter ... his kids were and are miserable failures as QBS ... if simms can't see that, that's his problem .. at least they got free educations and one of them pocketed some NFL jack ..

when i went to the Manning Camp in high school, the guest speaker the first night was Phil Simms. His entire speech was about how mean stupid media types always say that Archie Manning is the losingest QB of all time but he really was awesome and just played with a bunch of shitbags.

archie played with some of the best offensive talent in the NFL in 1978, 1979, and 1980 ... yet all he could muster was 7-9, 8-8, and 1-15 in those seasons ...

Chris Simms played with a bunch of shitbags like Roy Williams, Ced Benson, Selvin Young, Mike Williams, etc. That's why he was turnover machine in every big game UT ever played.

i still will never get the royal frick job major applewhite got over simms ... i remember the huge hole simms put UT in in the 2001 big 12 championship game against colorado and major came off of the bench in the second half and almost pulled off a miracle win ... that was the same night LSU beat Tenn in the SEC Champ game ..
