The entire board is comprised of nothing but partners of the PGA Tour plus reps from the 4 majors.

This is why LIV can't wait until the court date is set. What ground they really gain will be with one huge antitrust suit.

So you don’t agree the DP and PGA tour represent the OWGR governing board?

So players that join LIV are going to not play majors for the multiple years that case takes to settle? And it may go against LIV too

I honestly wonder if the LIV Tour or its players have standing to sue the PGA Tour. The PGA doesn't believe they do. Gonna be tough for LIV to say the PGA Tour is a monopoly with all the Tours globally and domestically available to players and the fact the players joined the PGA Tour willingly and well-aware of its bylaws. Will be an interesting and slow moving litigation.

I'm not even sure if many of the LIV players care that much for the privilege at this point. I assume why many have just resigned. But the PGA is going to try and cut the major water off. And as petty as that looks it's going to court and soon.

How are they going to play majors with no OWGR points?

Only a few players would be exempt from pst winning

The US and British Open said the players who have already qualified for this year's tournaments can play. They did not comment on what will happen after this year.

This is my point about the points. What if all the other leagues open the LIV players except the PGA tour? The players can get their points in that manner? Basically they could play the Majors while qualifying in other ways outside of the PGA Tour?

Everyone is assuming everything is relying on the PGA tour, what if LIV is able to force the hand in the majors to allow LIV players in a different door?

Swipe the rug from under the PGA tour.

Lets not forget, there's a lot of money out there to throw around...

Rabalais is that you? From his article today.

"Today we have NIL. And LIV Golf. Two fraught little abbreviations that are changing the face of sports as we have known it."

The president of the USGA said that all those who qualify, still qualify. They weren't changing the rules. His words, not mine.

I don't think those older guys like McDowell, Louis, Westwood, etc. do care a whole lot based on their comments at the press conference. They seemingly are using this tour as a semi-retirement gig so they can make a lot of money and not play much golf. The only players who probably do care are guys like Gooch, Phil, DJ, and Bryson, Phil mainly just on principle and his ego IMO. It was honestly very apparent, too, that all of them have been receiving different legal advice based on how they're all approaching resigning or not resigning their PGA membership.

Right. After this year, when their ranking points run out, then what?

you've become pretty notorious for continuing on with guaranteeing things that have not been decided.

They're going to play majors bc they will receive OWGR pts for playing in LIV events.
