Anyone watching the golf channel right now who still doesn’t think Tiger’s back was fricked up today is completely blind.

Looking at you, PeeJ.

He’s had 5 back surgeries and plays a sport that is devastating on that part of the body.

“Healthy” is a relative term for him now.

No doubt.

But today was particularly rough.

Pretty sure most of these guys hit a PW from there.

I agree with Jack when he says that the USGA & the R&A need to get off their asses and dial the ball back. They are rendering the classic old courses obsolete.

Loved what Jack was saying yesterday. Didn’t expect him to be so open about it, but he straight up called them out. Saying they’ve spent 40 years “studying” it rather than correcting the issue.

They’re acting like there is no chance +3 makes the cut, and I think there’s a slight possibility gets in.

Ended up being more than a slight possibility.

Just threw a wager on Chez Reavie to win. Let’s see if I can get lucky twice.

I disagree and Bryson’s play this weekend highlighted it. If these courses grow the rough up and tighten the fairways that negates most if not all of the advantage of the 400 yard drive. That’s why I laughed when he became the betting favorite to win the US Open. You can’t win from the rough.

So instead of just changing the ball, we have to change every single golf course the pros play?

No. You let these guys and all the updated equipment do there thing. Bottom line in golf is to keep it in the fairway to give you a decent second shot.... Bryson can hit every drive within 40 yards of the green but in the long run he will suffer because he will not hit every drive in the fairway......

No, courses that host a PGA tour event just have to grow the rough a little longer for a month. Most of them already do. I like the risk/reward aspect. We get to see some amazing shots but we also get to see the pros struggle if they can’t hit it in the fairway.

Plus it seems a lot easier to do that than force golf ball companies to try to figure out ways to make their product inferior.

Growing out the rough is fine, but you also have to keep the greens firm. They water the greens like no other on most courses. Look at Muirfield Village today. It’s even tough to stop the ball from the fairway. But in the live under par world of the PGA Tour they keep everything so saturated.
