ETA: Not sure why you responded so aggresively? There is very little reason to believe that a player that can't consistently hit the fairway will shoot under par on this course.

you nailed it. someone earlier said, he was in contention at the Masters and got hurt. No, he was putting out of his mind the last day of the Masters and then on the back nine, the putts stopped falling. Not much different last week at Firestone in the first round. After that, the putter went on vacation...game over.

I won't say zero chance, but I think the odds are significantly against him. He's got to hit fairways to have a chance and whatever putter he uses has to wake up.

Is the Championship in a rain delay? I'm stuck here at work monitoring the live leaderboard online and Jason Day has been "Through 11*" for about 45 minutes to an hour. I'm refreshing the page but no updated scoring.

Damn. Shaun Micheel has gone from 3rd place after day one to +4 after 36 and is in danger of missing the cut.
