Pete Carroll: "BCS system stinks"

When it works for him it is good, when it doesn't it isn't...

USC hated the BCS after the '03 season (Matt Lineart and his F!!!the BCS T-Shirt).
They loved it after the '04 season
Now that they are dropping in the polls even when they are winning, it isn't such a great system.

"What is the criteria of the process? Is it to pick the team that has the best season, that has the season that you like the most and feel best about voting for? Or is it the best team at the end of the year, the team that would win a playoff system if you did have it?"

YES

Some voters feel that way. They should lose their credentials

JUST SHUT UP

Same crap. And...who should have played in it?

If USC does not want to be jumped, they should play a SEASON equal to everyone else's season...
with a Conference Championship.
You hide behind a skirt,
you get treated like a sissy.
Don't like it, ask the USC president to petition for a C Chmpionship....
neither Carroll, nor the president want it.
they want EASY STREET and then BITCH
Ideally, at least a +1 would help,
but I am sure USC would not support that either,
they want a free ride.
...so does the Big 10
the 2 conferences keeping the playoff from happening.
that why they play the game.
that could happen in a playoff sys... or even in the BEGINNING of the season.
a team could go undefeated and then lose.
there is a solution to this "WIN'
in such way to leave no doubt...
*Play a conference Championship
*Schedule a substantial amount of power teams
with a Conference Championship.

We have a playoff, it's called "the regular season". If you don't like it, then beat oregon state.
I'd be willing to bet that Jim Calhoun at Uconn wants the NCAA tournament to be replaced with a BCS type solution where the likes of George Mason can't get in

Hey Pete...we beat Oregon State 45-14.

Pac 10 needs to expand to the Pac 12 by picking up Boise State and BYU. Then have a conference championship game like SEC and BIG 12 and then if they win it, the BCS system would work for them.

Note to Carrol: don't loose to OSU or stanford?
things will go better for you
Penn St hammering OSU is not good for USC
And Penn ST is at least a 14 pts dog against UF

this makes it 2 years in a row of pete carroll using injuries as an excuse for not being in the championship game. hey pete, just beat all of the shitty teams you play and you will have no problem.

Somebody needs to tell Pete that we beat Oregon State missing six defensive linemen and our best linebacker. We've only gotten three of the D Line guys back as it is...but we're still unbeaten. Sorry Pete crying gets you nothing.

And USC put up a better showing against tOSU than Penn State did. I know they were missing Beanie Wells and played on the road, but you guys also got Oregon State at home.

USC is getting screwed because they play in a conference that is de-emphasizing football at the exact time the Big 12 is emerging.
Their only solution is to play THREE bad-arse SEC/Big 12 teams EVERY year and pray for somebody else in that conference to be worth a damn.
I have no tears for them after Auburn 04.
Honestly, I am shocked that the football world realizes this.

Yeah we did and in September...but Oregon State was 100 percent healthy (they're not now fwiw...but no excuse.) I give the Beavers all the credit in the world for coming out here.
Beanie was out, it was in SC and Pryor wasn't even the starting QB. We held a healthy Beanie to his worst game of the year by far (22 carries 55 yds) and Pryor (9 carries 6 yards) to his worst game as well...and our starting QB was knocked out before we scored the game winning TD.
Not that I'm making our case or anything.

He doesn't understand why running up the score against weak Pac-10 chumps doesn't impress everybody.
