In 2007 Sandusky took Victim 1 to pre-season Penn State practices as well as Eagle football games.

So, are those of you defending JoePa saying JoePa, who knew in 2002 that Sandusky was inappropriate with children...was not wrong in allowing him to "groom" the children at his practices?

And yeah...JoePa continued to allow it to happen. He knew and he still let that scumbag hang out with boys at his practices.

Where's the part of this that says "The police then went and told JoePa about the incident and he told the police to let it go because he's JoePa, almighty ruler of Penn St."?

You honestly don't think that Paterno had any knowledge that his long time defensive coordinator was being investigated for messing with kids in the football locker room?

Let's pose this question; where do you put the blame on coach Mike McQueary, who was the grad assistant way back when that has since been on the Penn St coaching staff for the last 8 years.

You dont think he see Sandusky around the facilities?

Why hasn't he said anything?

you people going after Paterno are a joke. There are so many more people to blame over this than him.

Joe Pa would be in the last tier, whatever that one would be.

false.

He is the most influential person in that part of the State of Pennsylvania. He knew from the start of it that the AD wouldn't go to the police (the real police, not campus police) because of how things went down in 1998. At that point he had a MORAL obligation to do something.

Sure, he did what was legally required of him, but as a human being, he failed.

Child molestation? Says he witnessed it? You are f'king embarrassing yourself here.

What the frick are you talking about? You said if a stranger on the street comes to you and tells you your best friend raped someone, you'd immediately call the cops. What if this guy is an ex bf of the girl your best friend is dating and your best friend did nothing? I apologize for not immediately condemning my best friend over the words of some stranger on the street without finding out for myself first....

According to Paterno the only incident he knew about happened after Sandusky was retired.

So then he's lying, because of the 1998 incident that lead to the "retirement".

I don't get your angle here, is it only that you think Paterno is catching more heat than other, seemingly more culpable individuals?

You just proved without a doubt you are a total dumbass.

It wasn't some stranger, Liberace. You seem to think "being a narc" is worse than stopping a child predator. What a f'king loon and a drag on society.

There are reports that Mike walked in on Sandusky raping a boy and ran out of the locker room. I don't know how much credibility there is to that story but it's been reported by some outlets. That really pisses me off if it's true.

Complicit how? By reporting it to the administration he was supposed to?

It's interesting that NO ONE talked to the police. Logically, that would imply that ALL OF THEM were involved in covering it up. INCLUDING Paterno (who probably asked the AD and CPD guys to spare his buddy).

Sorry reporting it to the AD is not enough. Its just not. This isn't a recruiting violation. The police should have been his first call. Anything short of that is disgusting.

I agree with whomever it was that said I'll wait to see some hard evidence that Joe was explicitly involved before I start slinging shite at him. If he truly did report it to his AD/President, then I think that's good. Morally, should he have done more (if this shite is true)? Maybe, but that's not my call to make, and I won't judge him on it just yet.

Some of you people are going fricking crazy though, without knowing all the facts, and are making knee-jerk criticisms of people involved.

I've read it.
So if someone just told you that some guy down the hall is fricking a kid, would you call the cops or call a meeting the next morning?
From your responses, it's obvious you would choose to call a meeting.
I'm ok with you laughing at me. I sincerely pity you.

Penn State needs to purge the entire dept, asap. The longer they wait, the longer they delay recovery. That includes Joe Pa.
