All have gone down hill since making the cfp in 2024

A lot of people said that making the playoffs is a boost for the program, enticing boosters to donate to NIL etc, but it doesn’t see to be fool proof

Now Clemson is a bit of an exception because their decline has been ongoing but a lot of people thought Dilly was the next big coach and ASU was on the rise but they took a step back and are currently getting smoked by a Baylor team that isn’t very good.

That’s not what I meant

Just that it isn’t the automatic program boost that people think it is

Mich state in 2015 and Cincinnati also are examples in the 4 team era. Although Cinci lost their HC.

Perhaps asu and penn st weren’t that great. Big 12 schedule and Penn st always seems to have a cupcake schedule.

Not sure about the other 2 but Clemson fell due to Dabo not playing the same game as everyone else.

His holier than thou stance has not worked.

Him and N Saban were right a few years back but he wanted to keep playing his way. He was going to show EVERYBODY how smart he was. Nick just got out because he was smart and didnt want to deal with the agents....boosters were bad enough.

Penn St is Penn St. Theyve been more down than usual the past couple of years but they're never as good as people think. Always soft and seemingly never more than a game manager for a qb.

Clemson fall is well documented. Biggest difference, players are paid out in the open now.

ASU is a Big 12 school. Could literally throw a dart every year to predict who's gonna be their representative. Fluke. And they had a major group of studs on that offense.

OU And Aggy both made the playoffs last year and look like dog shite this year.
