So what’s the difference between that problem the Jets had in Pittsburgh, and the problem the Steelers had last night in New England? The biggest difference seems to be that the Jets didn’t accuse the Steelers of any wrongdoing, and Jets coach Rex Ryan said after the game that the communications issue wasn’t the reason the Jets lost the game. The Steelers haven’t been so accommodating toward the Patriots in the wake of last night’s loss.

Answer the damn question! What would the Patriots have to gain from altering radio waves to coaches headsets after going through a 7 month long cheating investigation?

on't you think they'd look into this "stadium power infrastructure issue" and why does this "power infrastructure issue" only occur to opposing team radios. If it happened to the Patriots, I'm sure they'd fix it.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist cry baby, just wondering how something that is a known issue goes unaddressed.
Power fluctuations are a horrible reason for communication failures and could likely be fixed extremely easily and cheaply

Are you seriously asking what would they gain from disrupting communications in a football game?

Cmon everyone has those Oregon style signs ha.

If you are looking at the big picture, yes. I would like to know why they would go out of their way to cheat after being under the public microscope for cheating for the past 7 months. To me, they would have a lot more to lose than to gain to try and pull that off but that's me

The idea of beaming Zo into Tomlin's ear on the first drive of opening night after the last 7 months is laugh out loud funny.
Common sense is really uncommon on this thread

And to cheat in a way that is actually set up and controlled by the NFL. The Pats have some balls

You asked a really stupid question with a very obvious answer. If they cheated, it would be for a competitive advantage to hell win. Disruption of communication would be a substantial advantage.
Anyways, I don't think they cheated here. I think the NFL is pathetic for not having better controls and redundant systems for this and deflategate

Again, the home team is responsible for setup and maintenance coordinated with NFL consultants. So no, this isn't "NFL controlled".
Again, even if nothing nefarious is going on, the continued list of excuses provided, and " power infrastructure issue"....its a multi hundred million dollar with heaters in the turf, yet the power grid can't handle visiting teams radios?

To think the Patriots organization purposefully disrupted the radio signals (cheat) on the first drive of the NFL season, you would have to assume Belicheck and company are not just dumb, but fricking psychotic dumb. And if you assume that, then you've already lost the argument. There is no logical argument that can be made as to why they would do such a stupid thing to gain such a minuscule advantage

Sound tight logic right there /s

Its funny that you can tell the auditors are by the people hammering internal controls.

Plenty of smart people have done insanely idiotic things.

if it was purposeful, it is absolutely hilarious
Posted on 9/11/15 at 12:06 pm to Jcorye1
But does this sound like something logical? Especially after the past 7 months?
And I agree with Carson, if they actually tried to pull this off, this is fricking hilarious. I will also gladly eat crow if it's true but I 1000% doubt it is

I mean you can say the same thing about plenty of instances of fraud around the country and the world.
People still attempt it despite watchful eyes, investigations, and controls in place
Hell, look at the Masahi Muromachi scandal with Toshiba. He was the CEO, do you think he was intelligent?

The Steelers really are whining today. This pissed me off when we played Bama. They did it to us, no penalty. We did it to them, penalty

If a quarterback can use a hard count timed in the cadence to draw a neutral zone infraction, the DL can use a shift timed in the cadence to draw an offside.

Cowherd was playing the pats broadcast that the steelers were having to listen to during the game. Scott Zolak going crazy when Gronk caught his td in the back of the endzone would get old quick.
That's what was playing in their headsets.

How about this? Roger Goodell told the people controlling communication to intentionally screw with Tomlins staff to keep the Patriots cheating saga going.
