All I'm really saying is I don't believe up until January, the only ones who knew about this were Tressel, Cicero, TP's mentor, and the FBI.

And I think Tressel will keep his job, but I want him fired.

I really don't think you have to worry about that.

JMO, but whether Tressel was the only one to know about it or not, he's the one that didnt report it and he's the one who lied about it. Thats all this really comes down to.

I don't know much about what the AD/President/etc. knows, but I don't see a scenario where Tressel keeps his job.

i dont either. the fact is, college football coaches are the ones who make the decisions about their programs. this was tressel's decision, and tressel's alone and he will have to be the one who suffers for it.

Do you think Tressell will keep his job? Please expand on your thoughts concerning this matter.

It will ultimately be up to OSU whether he keeps his job or not. However, he's almost certainly getting a show-cause order, and I would think he would get at least a two year ban. In that situation, retaining him just doesn't make much sense. I think he may coach this year if the NCAA takes long enough and then he'll have to leave after.

Or he's trying to look out for the future of the football program by eating the sanctions and all the hate he takes for a lessor suspension.

Laughable. That would be the most stupid of all possible options.

OSUe will get some sanctions from the NCAA, Tressell will keep his job because the OSUe powers that be don't have the nads to fire him.

I wish the "powers" at tOSU had nads like the powers at LSU and other SEC schools! Damn!

If Hamilton had the balls to fire Pearl, I'd hope Gene Smith can figure it out.

How many times should they have fired Pearl?
They finally did after Tenn got tossed from the tourney. Comparing that bum to Tressell in any way is really a joke anyway.

If you find Les Miles doing similar, you can bet your arse he would be gone.

You're right. Tressel's violation is more serious.

I'm sure you're right. Lsu's program is spotlessly clean and the powers have big nads. (I'll take your word for that)

Maybe not, but they know it won't be good for their football program to employ a coach who'll probably be suspended for 2 years.

He was still the most successful basketball coach Tennessee has had and was the only good thing Hamilton had on his resume. If he can fire Pearl, I'm confident Tressel can be shown the door, too. You guys fired your best coach all time and survived that. I'm sure you'll get through this as well.
