Is my cousin and would be great for Parkview. He played for and won a state championship there as a fullback.
He is all in at CHPC though and has a good group of kids and even better backing from the school and community. It would be really tough for him to leave what he has built there. He isn't your typical HS football coach that is always looking for a bigger program to go to. When he commits, you get 110% at all times and the kids have followed his lead.

He's an excellent coach, but my guess is he and fam may be very happy where he is.
They are and they just had their 3rd child last week. They get a lot more support from the people around CHPC than they probably would from Parkview, although most of our family, along with his sister and dad, still live in south BR

I think is still at Nichols. Not sure that's who I would want leading my teenage son though, unless he has calmed down A LOT.

Warren Capone would be a good coach at Parkview. He did great at Christian Life a few years back.

I think he went to coach Dline at ULM.

Looks like you are correct. I haven't seen him since David's bachelor party.

They should go out and hire ML back. Let Coach D call the plays on offense. Let Worsham call the plays on defense. Let ML wonder up and down the sidelines motivating the team and playing head games with everyone.
Imagine the in game head games that could be played. Pulling a QB a after two drives giving the freshman a chance so you can "try and find a guy." Could you imagine the bonfire down the opposing sideline after a big loss with 65 guys burning something?
At the least, you'd get these guys in the right mindset. And Wood was the GOAT at that. Nothing like kicking someone out of practice to get their ming right.

Wouldn't be surprised if they went outside the family for the next hire. They did it with the baseball coach bringing him in from Texas. Please never ever bring the triple option back. That was a disaster!!!

Saying that the triple option has been a disaster is just dumb. Scott Dietrich has been one of the few reasons that place has had so much success since 1999. Without the flexbone that program would not have won 5 state championships and 8 state finals appearances. I hope the higher ups at PBS do whatever they can to keep Coach Deter at that school.
Matt Shelton is another name that should be thrown in the mix to be the next HC because of his familiarity with the dynamic and politics of parkview.
