Bell is probably wishing he would have taken that $9 mil this year.

Did the Steelers offer him a long term deal or just the tag?

How did Newton not see a pass rusher right in front of him?

They offered him something like a 4 year deal at 14 million per season. The guaranteed money was unknown though.

You’d think the Panthers would get rid of those stupid Revolution stripes

Have them full or take them completely off.

Cam is obviously super talented but his he's such a damn airhead. Didn't even look like he saw the linebacker.

One other reason Bell might have turned the deal down is because it apparently wasn't loaded with any substantial guarantees. According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the contract included $33 million in guaranteed money, which was going to be paid out over the first two years. Rapoport also noted that the first three years of the deal would pay out $45 million (or $15 million per season), but didn't note if all of that money was guaranteed. As for the final two years of the deal, it seems that Bell had no guaranteed money. Of course, none of this matters now, since Bell didn't take the offer.

Apparently, Bell wanted 17 mil/year though and lots of guarantees. Sadly, nothing else has come out regarding the guaranteed portion of the proposed contract.

That’s Todd Gurley money. I’m sure the guaranteed money was fine. He likely just wanted $16-$20 mil a year. Seems greedy
