In the regular season....12-0 against Big10 opponents.

What if they had joined the SEC?

That'd be a long trip for away games.

I think they would have been the best team in the SEC last year as well.

Ohio State and Oregon played a great game last year in the regular season when Smith got called for a bogus PI. All is well that ends well though and OSU put boot to arse 34-0 in the first half in the Rose

Oregon is a good team who is finally getting big enough to compete. They always have had great athletes, but their great athletes were just a little bit smaller.

Oregon got screwed by having to play tOSU again in the Rose Bowl. This year, tOSU would have been the 6th seed instead of the 8th.

I don't know about screwed. If OSU didn't lose to Michigan they would have been in the B1G title game and who knows where both teams are seeded then.

To win the title you have to beat a few really good teams usually. Oregon didn't have the ability to do that last year. They can potentially do it this year

I really think the nearly month off playing an elite team who played almost a week prior hurts

Good question. I would also ask for Penn State.

OSU had the same amount of time off before they played Tennessee that Oregon had before they played OSU.

Did OSU look flat against Tennessee?

Oh come tfrick on.

7 of those 12 wins came against teams with losing records (I'm counting Northwestern already because we know they'll end up there).

You’re conveniently leaving out that Tennessee also waited just as long as Ohio state did for their game vs each other

Yeah man! Like just imagine if a premier team in the SEC played a middle of the road team in the BIG like Michigan or Illinois in a bowl game!

#strawmanargument

You can deflect all you want. It's not Oregon's fault their schedule has been trash.

I'm not leaving anything out. Tennessee and OSU had a month off before they played each other, and Oregon had a month off before they played OSU

OSU beat the crap out of both teams

Oregon’s safeties weren’t good enough last year. We would’ve lost no matter what the seeding was.

It would’ve been nice to not be rusty.
