Stanford shouldn’t really count if it wasn’t for preseason polls.

Maryland beat Howard and Syracuse to start the 2019 season. For some reason that earned them a #21 ranking.
They lost to Temple in Week 3, and finished the season 3-9.

Good question. Jimbo seems to be the fan favorite on the WVU boards.
Worry is that we don't have the NIL money to get the recruits that Jimbo goes after.
WVU has their success in grabbing the under the radar guys. Now if you get them, you have to pay them once their good and we don't have the funds to keep them around.
Going back to our glory years in early 2000s, hard to imagine us keeping White/Slayton/Devine/Austin once the big programs approach them.
