80's

I loved 80's college football - great teams, showmanship, characters, the big programs were good...MLB was okay, NBA was the best era - Lakers/Celtics...and the NFL was the perfect blend of offense and defense that unfortunately swung all the way to offense after.

Of course, I didn't see much of jack squat in the 70's and the 90's were blah except for Jordan...CFB, NFL, NBA - mostly blah.

The 70's - the NFL, NBA, MLB, and CFB all had great rivalry games. The teams stayed in tact, and I enjoyed following all sports during that era.

I agree somewhat. I LOVED the 70's.. But the 80's went to a different level. MLB was at an all-time high. the SB[even though ROUT]infected was still cool. The NBA had MAGIC and Bird ..............College BBALL had UNC and EWING and NCST. winning in 1983 and Nova winning in '85. College Football??? Are you serious???? IT was UNREAL in the 80's.

Yeah, but the NBA was at its best, which makes up for all that.

I'm gonna say the 80's were the best for the NBA. The following teams were all really good.

Lakers
Celtics
76ers
Rockets
Pistons
Nicks

Canadiens in the NHL, UCLA in college basketball, Steelers in the NFL, OU, Bama, & USC in college football, the Big Red Machine in MLB.

Throw in the New York Knicks, Celtics, Lakers, Orioles, Oakland A's, ...... it was great.
