So nd has to play hockey in the acc?
ND should play all sports in the ONE conference...
as I said ALL MAJOR SPORTS.
If/when a conference does not offer enough competition for a specific sport, then YES, they should be able to go outside.
...but only then, not just for convenience and advantage.

Just because unfairness has existed for quiet a while does not mean that it should be ignored forever.
Also, during the BCS the HUMANS did not have as much control.

Winning the Big 10 just isn't a big deal.

In the system we have you can't be mad. You can be mad at the system.
N.D. should be in a conference yes, but who knows how the entire season would have played out if they were. Maybe they only have the loss in the CCG to Clemson, and get in over OSU anyway
The system is broken, but until enough people acknowledge it the system will stay.

And I'm pretty sure UGA would beat tOSU, OU and ND comfortably. But the results on the field have to mean something.
Then change the criteria from 4 BEST to 4 MOST DESERVING TEAMS if you want that to control

2016 Ohio State was WAY more deserving than 2017 Alabama.

I loved Cowher's explanation of why Ohio State shouldn't be in the playoffs (before the final 4 was announced).
Summarizing, say you are in a job interview and you just kill it, things are going great, but in the last few seconds before you leave, you drop "also, I like having relationships with married women". That's how bad that Purdue loss was

No one should be forced into anything. Schools have the freedom to choose.
More teams should go independent if anything.

no problem with either / or.
but they should not have their cake and eat it too.

How do they do that?
If 5 teams are undefeated they are likely left out
Heck they might have been left out this year if Ohio State didn't choke

tOSU would BEAT THE BREAKS off ND IDGAF that they lost by 29 to Purdue a few months ago thats just FACT
Today's lesson: Fact versus opinion.

I don't think you know what the word "deserving" means.

Ohio state had 8 games that were within single digits in the 4th quarter. Those teams were 6-6 TCU, 6-6 Minnesota, Penn State, 4-8 Nebraska, 5-7 Maryland, 8-4 Northwestern, 7-5 Michigan State, and 5-7 Indiana.
You may be wondering, what about the Purdue game? Well technically that one was never within single digits in the 4th quarter

You're willing to actually contend ND would defeat tOSU, much less make it competitive?

Needs to go to 100% computer picks. Take away the fools who pick their favorite team and the ones who get pockets lined.

You must not have watched much of OSU this season if you think it would be a given that they would blow out anyone in the Top 10.
If you had, you would realize their game against Michigan was the outlier this season. Not all of their close wins over mediocre/bad B1G teams.
It took all 4 quarters last Saturday to put down a 4 loss Northwestern team in a conference championship where they basically had homefield advantage.

So what exactly is ND good at again as it relates to playing football except almost losing to shitty arse to mediocre programs AT HOME? MY POINT EXACTLY, SEE YA AFTER THE BLOWOUT!
