re: Ohio State reportedly will start Braxton Miller vs Colorado

I kind of disagree with other OSU fans. If we are going to win with ST, defense, and running the ball, Bauserman is better suited for that. Down 14-0 it's a little different of course, but if we are ahead or even, running the ball will be the emphasis.
At the Miami game, the 2 OSU fans I was sitting with and myself thought Bauserman gave OSU the best chance to win if we would stick to the "run the ball down their throat philosophy" which we had to stop because hall apparently had cramps (didn't know that at the time).
Miller had 2 turnovers in case people didn't know

frick Bauserman. He's Boeckman 2.0, only worse. I don't care how bad Miller plays, it'll still be better than what Bauserman would be doing.

Yeah, I don't get how anyone could make a case for Bauserman. He either a) throws it out of bounds b) overthrows a WR by 10 yards or c) throws it to a RB in the flats. He's so bad.

One was trying to force a throw and the other was because he was holding the ball poorly after a 10 yard run. At some point we need a playmaker on offense. If we don't have a WR who can do, a RB who can do it, then we need a QB who can do it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one saying CUM could be the next PSU coach.
As soon as Herron can play, he should be in the rotation. With Hall's versatility, there is plenty of room for all 3. Herron has some of the best qualities of Hall and Hyde. He is slippery, sees the cutback and hits the hole very hard for someone his size. He will even push a pile.
Baus and Miller should both play. Give each of them a short, simple playbook and rotate them every 4 plays or so. Do the same with receivers.

Urban basically has his choice of ND, PSU and tOSU(all three are his dream job).

But Columbus is the only place of the three mentioned where his home is.

Yeah this will work out well.
I hope Luke is reading this.
People, Ohio State is a 3-loss team at best right now. Wisconsin will work us hard if we don't sure(shore, I dunno) up this defense.
We aren't winning the Big Ten. I thought it was a possibility at the beginning of the year being a fan, not so much anymore.
Fickell is in a very tough spot, but I don't feel bad for him. He will get other looks that he never would have gotten. People will understand his situation at Ohio State. I don't feel bad for him other than the fact that this is his dream job obviously and he's not getting a fair shake, but honestly he doesn't deserve it.
Play Miller. Get his reps. He is the future at this point. Play lots of young guys. Maybe bring in a seasoned coach. If not we could stick with Fickell a little longer. Just relax and enjoy watching College Football.
It's fun.

I really don't like that idea - I think QBs need to get into a rhythm, impossible to do when you get subbed out every first down. Last time we tried something like that was with Zwick and Troy Smith and it failed miserably.

He needs to take that shite to the rant.

Yet, it's a picture of Woody Hayes that is prominent in his office. Ohio is the fertile recruiting ground. He could step in right away and Braxton Miller is exactly the quarterback he'd want to coach.

I'm still not sure of that.
In 2009 we weren't that good until a game in Penn St where we were down at halftime. Tressel said ok, frick it, Pryor you no longer have the ball in your hands and passing as much and we're going to stick our dicks down peoples throats and run it. Worked out pretty damn well. If we make that transition we're going to be fine.
You can't get down on the defense, they are fricking good and young. The offense put them in the most horrible spot imaginable against Miami and they played lights out for 35 minutes or whatever in a tough spot. Yea, it sucks that we gave up 14 points immediately, but the adjustments they made afterward were very encouraging. Not having our best pass rusher REALLY hurts us right now...Nathan Williams will make this defense go from good to great - need to get him back.
I'm not ready to write the season off yet - this week will tell us more. Or we could have a pathetic pedestrian game against an inferior opponent. But we'll see.

Wisconsin at Home helps a lot if we really have a thought at winning the conference. @ Nebraska is gonna be very tough.
I think we drop 3 and beat Michigan

I'll let you know where I stand after this week. Nebraska's defense is truthfully not good. At all. If our offense can find a pulse over the next two weeks the defense will keep us in the game I think. I'm happy they play Wisconsin the week before us though, that should be a hard hitting game and should give the coaches a good gameplan.

With the lose alredy to an average Miami Team, Ohio State's next loses will come at he hands of Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, and Penn State. I would not rule out Michigan as well.
That puts Ohio State at least 7-5 with the possibility of 6-6 if they lose to UM. I hope the hell this does not happen, but facts are facts and I am a realist.

Penn St was losing to fricking Temple for 3 quarters. And we get them at home. GTFO with your "realist" bullshite.

We aren't going 6-6 brah. Doubtfully, 7-5. Possibly 8-4. Most likely 9-3. Doubtfully 10-2. We aren't going 11-1.

What was a better alternative? I'll hang up and listen.
