Pretty difficult for a team to go back to back under the new playoff format.
That would mean beating 8 straight top ranked playoff opponents in a row.
If they can do that then I tip my cap.

I’m gonna say this now, Both Michigan and Bama will be mediocre this year. I see 4 loses each….

Was watching some preseason picks, Joel Klatt for one, and it seems that people think OSU gets through reg season and turns it on again when most important.

Joel Klatt? The same guy that proclaimed, undoubtedly, Bama's run was over in 2015 and that Saban would be coaching elsewhere... right as they rattled off another 6 title game appearances.

He may be right this time, but he's usually wrong, very wrong.

No. There will be at most 3 teams that will have a legitimate chance at winning the title.

More teams could if the seeding is as bad as it was last season. See Penn State.

Conference champs arent auto slotted into the top 4 this year.

After seeing each team's body of work, this remains the likely scenario.

It doesn't matter if Michigan wins. Or if Texas wins. We're in the 12 team playoff era now. 10-2 Ohio State will have a chance at the title.

Welcome to your diminished regular season. It's only going to get worse

I mean if all that matters to you is who wins the championship then 95% of the teams/games dont matter.

Not all of us are as enamored with the final results as you.

I watched a great game between BYU and Arizona last night. Does the fact neither of them have a chance at winning a national championship make the game less good?

is the biggest big 10 homer in the country. He’s basically paid 7 figures to shill for them on fox sports.
