How does NIU look next year?

Might as well get the annual "Ohio State doesn't belong with that schedule" conversation started.

It's an easy schedule, but it also sets up well.

Va Tech is a good test - say what you will about Beamer and their shitty offense last year, it's not an easy place to play especially Week 1 with a giant target on your back.

Hawaii - joke
NIU - they aren't terrible, solid schedule filler
WMU - another MAC team with slow athletes, but at least they were decent last year
@ Indiana - Tevin Coleman gone, but Nate Sudfeld is back - somewhat tricky game
Maryland - I expect them to "turtle" (ie hide from the raping they will receive)
PSU - Hackenberg should be coming into his own so this game is sneaky, but in the Shoe so it should be ok
@ Rutgers - Gary Nova gone but could be interesting if his replacement is decent. Piscataway can get weird and they improved in 2014 (destroyed UNC in bowl)
Minnesota - David Cobb gone but Minny should be preseason Top 30 or so next year
@ Illinois - they suck hard
Michigan State - Connor Cook back should be a solid game with revenge on their mind
@ Michigan - they will easily be improved under Pleats

Are you seriously trying to count UNLV as a good team?

I was just putting out the schedule that is out.

That Texas, Notre Dame, Boston College OOC is the real deal.

Penn State took OSU to overtime this year and Hackenburg is a year older. Upsets happen.

Mich State will be very highly ranked heading into 2015.

Isn't this impossible, unless the Big 10 allows it?

Not possible. Michigan State is in the East with Ohio State.

I would love to have a home and home with Ohio State.

If they playoff goes to 8 teams, you'll see a ton more high-profile OOC matchups.

Would be hilarious if they lost to Virginia Tech and the same exact argument as this year started all over again.

Agreed - Va Tech definitely matches up physically and they have the potential to play ball possession.

They should be confident riding last year's win and weird things happen in Blacksburg sometimes.

Blacksburg is a trip I want to make.

Unfortunately, LSU played them up there pretty recently, and with the way that Va Tech tried to back out of the return trip, I seriously doubt we play them again for a long, long time.

It's a cow town shithole, but their stadium is really nice now that they got renovations done. Gets loud as hell for a 60K venue

I predict that they will go back to their John Cooper ways and enter the two Michigan schools at 10-0 and finish 10-2 losing to MSU and UM.

MSU wins the East next year.

If I had to guess, I'd guess that OSU will not win it all next year.

Its just too hard to do it twice in a year, and Urban will slip up.
