The block/charge call is so subjective and 50/50 that even going to replay isn't going to matter. You could have 10 rules interps look at most of these block/charge calls on replay in slow motion and you are still going to get a mixed decision.
However, I do think they should look at Out of Bounds situations because that is clear as day on replay (No judgement needed) Illinois got hosed in the end of the Miami game

Can you be considered set if your feet arent even on the ground??????????

And the fact that most people on this site think you have to be "set" to take a charge is laughable and quite embarrassing actually.

Thanks Herbie, how's Tennessee?

Nothing like raging Buckeye homers chiming in to "correct" us all on two of the worst game deciding calls in recent memory.

It's like a fat dumb TSA agent telling you airport security isn't "inconvenient" while she strip searches you.

I am having a hard time wrapping my head around why you are so angry? Did you have a dog in this fight? Big Cyclone fan? Money on Iowa state ML? Or just huge hater of tOSU?
My guess it is option 3 which is just sad. I know some people that are miserable in life like you..You should really try to make a game time decision and make a change, even if it means coming out of the closet.

I like the way Mark Titus put in his Grantland article

quote:

I don't even care that it makes me an Ohio State homer to say this. It took zoomed-in still shots for all of us to realize it was the wrong call, yet so many people seem to expect the refs to be able to see the play and make the right call at live speed with guys flying all over the place. Besides, why is it a foregone conclusion that Iowa State would've won had Craft been called for a block? There was still 1:41 left in the game

God you are such a dumb arse. Your hate for Ohio State simply proves that you can't be objective.

The charge call could have gone either way. The official interpreted it in Ohio State's favor. I wouldn't have been upset if a blocking foul had been called. He WAS set before the Iowa State player left his feet IMO.

The ball that went out of bounds was off of Iowa State. Only a blind moron or homer sees that call any other way.

All this bullshite about the Iowa St player leaving his feet, Craft just wasn't in position, evidenced by his completely awkward stance upon contact. I'm not even mad about anymore though, doesn't matter, OSU isn't winning a title.

It's a bang bang play. As I said earlier I could live with the call going either way. It was that close IMO.

Well here is a FACT for you since you seem to love them: There might be 2 Iowa State fans on here, the rest just wanted to see Ohio State lose.

Actually, just an awful lot of dudes who never played basketball in here....but it appears they've read about the game and watched it a lot on tv.

How can one call that could've gone either way decide a game? The fact is Iowa State is a great team and played a great game... But they missed numerous bunny shots early in the game that would've also changed the complexity of the game as well. This is old news.
