riding high on a 3 pt win? you were very very close to being eliminated. I told y'all Iowa St would bring it, and they did.

don't act like you went in and steam rolled them.

and I meant the 16, not the FF.

The studio guys are arguing completely the wrong shite. Who cares if Craft's heel wasn't on the line? He wasn't fricking set.

I agree with this as well. EVEN if his foot WASN'T over the line it was obviously a block. He got there late and slid under. Easy call.. but subjective.. at least the restricted arc part should've made it clear and no room for error... but no.

Oregon is in. Arizona will be in. UCLA was missing their best player. The PAC was decent, and they will show you.

I don't know if this was in response to my Big East post, if so I didn't mention the PAC

But I also think the PAC is decent, but nothing more than average.

I don't see how you can see that replay and still think it went out on Thomas.

This.

The charge call was the only call that was questionable. And do people know how hard it is to ref in a major basketball game that moves super fast? It was a bang bang play. And just because your heel isn't down doesn't mean your not set. You play sports on the balls of your feet and toes. That said, the charge was the only call I saw a problem with. The out of bounds issue was correct. It was off ISU player. And no way you can call a tech after Crafts 3. When he made it the ISU guys were going to the bench because they knew they called a timeout. No ISU guy went to throw the ball in.

Refs do suck though. So many hand check calls that are just part of basketball and they never call them consistently.

Which is why video replay was introduced in sports, right? Ridiculous that that play can't be reviewed. Like someone posted earlier, the refs are allowed to take an hour to look at inadvertent elbows, but you can't review arguably the toughest call in the game, especially in the final minutes?

It's beyond stupid.

I completely agree. I think in the final 2 minutes if there is a questionable call they should be allowed to check the replay.

That pisses me off though. Unless you're going to check any and every questionable play during the game, it's not fair to only count the last 2 minutes.

Why? Because a point scored in the first minute is as relevant as a point scored with two minutes left.

Exactly. And if you put these reviews in to college basketball, game lengths will double and will totally ruin the flow of every game.

Oh, I agree. My main beef is with the restricted arc. Not every block/charge call should be reviewed -- most are simply up to the official's judgment -- but if officials have any doubt about whether a defender was inside or outside of the restricted arc, that should ALWAYS be able to be reviewed.

Get the call -- or in this situation, the rule -- right. Plain and simple.

I completely agree that a bucket in the 1st 5 minutes is just as valuable as one in the final finds, but you can't review every call the entire game because it will disrupt the flow and make games last an hour longer, like someone said. But in the final 2 minutes at least you can get some calls right during crunch time and it wouldn't screw up the entire flow of the game. I would rather have the final 2 minutes be reviewable than none at all like it is.

I would agree, but like 87 said, it's like a slap in the face to the first 38 minutes. Especially if points are wasted over terrible calls. There really is not a good way to solve it in my opinion. Sports will always have some form of human element. It sucks when it goes against you, but it happens to all teams at some point.

If you want an absolute perfect games you'd need refs up in a box watching through screens that could signal fouls as well. They'd have(or be able to create) the best angles to view fouls and would add an extra few sets of eyes.
