Betting the middle is tough

Main reason is that Calhoun is an amazing and underrated coach. If you look at his past results, his teams are always competitive, very rarely losing by more than 2 TDs. A few years ago they nearly beat a top ten Oklahoma team despite the talent disparity. He also beat Hoke twice while he was coaching at SDS.

Additionally, defending the option takes discipline and is mostly mental, which after that loss to Alabama, I am not sold on Michigan bouncing back strong. UM also lost all three starters on the d-line and I am not convinced they have viable replacements (as we saw vs Bama). They also lost Countess (CB), which hurts, because he was their best CB tackler on edge (which is critical when defending the AFs option).

My concern is whether or not AF can stop UM offensively, but DR is basically one-dimensional and Calhoun should have his team prepared to keep it within 3 TDs.
