$100 is as high as I will go. I keep it between $25-$50.
I am 0-3 all time when I have bet $100.
All 3 times in 2012.
Lost on Georgia Tech in 2012 because they blew a 4th quarter lead to Miami, couldn't get 1 inch on 4th and inches that would have iced the game, and lost in overtime when they once again couldn't gain an inch on 4th and inches.
$100 on TCU -20 at Kansas in 2012. TCU won 20-6 and fumbled 4 times, including 3 times in the red zone and twice on the goal line.
West Virignia -14 in 2012 against Baylor. That 70-63 game. Saw Baylor's defense get lit up by UL Monroe the week before and thought no way would they be able to slow down WVU. That was right, WVU scored 70. But WVU's defense didn't even show up.
All of my $100 losses have been bad beats

$50 most the time, have a $100 play 1-2 times per weekend. Go stupid with $300-500 2-3 times a year
mostly halftime lines on those few big hitters

Exactly why I keep my bets smaller these days. I want to be entertained, and not have a heart attack watching the games.
In 2012 $100 was a lot of money for me, not as much these days, but still I want to bet enough on a game for me to be interested in it and not so much to where it is more stressful than fun and where losing won't be such a big deal.
One of my favorite things to do in Las Vegas is to fill out like 50 of those teaser and parlay cards for $1 or $2. I'll turn them into lottery tickets pretty much, make large 10-15 team plays per card. I hit a 12 team teaser in 2012 that was $2 and it payed out like 100:1
that was the only one I hit. It allows you to have action on a lot of games without having a large stake on each game. I still remember sitting at the Super Book on a Wednesday Night filling out a hundred of those things.

Me too, although 2012 was bad because I had my trip to Las Vegas for Week 1. I still remember walking on Fremont Street the night before opening night in 2012 filled with anticipation and all the bet slips I had burning a hole in my pocket
I want to make going to Las Vegas for opening weekend an annual tradition but I didn't have the vacation days accrued yet in 2013 or 2014 and this year I decided to spend money to go to a family reunion instead. Next year though

50 dollars per game, just trying to have fun. I enjoy the research more than I do the actual game. I absolutely love sports, but I enjoy reading about it just as much.

Me too, for me the fun is in finding angles and having my research validated rather than winning money.

10$ a game. It's strictly added entertainment. I'll never win much, but I definitely don't want to lose money I don't have either.

That's how I am with daily fantasy(PGA and NBA). I only play 25 cent games. It's strictly a payoff for the research.
