I just got into the teaser betting last year and i like it. I will sacrifice the bigger winnings for usually much better odds at hitting a 3-5 team teaser.

My unit is 50. Parlays are normally 25

If its a bet just BC it's on tv and I'm bored I normally just do 30

anyone taking LSU to cover this weekend? Ik its a much lesser opponent but with Mett being unproven for the most part and the possibility of rain its hard to say that lighting it up is a sure thing

If u bet LSU might as well parlay it with the over. Odds are if LSU covers the over hits

Splain the Wong Teasers please

quote:

The name Wong teaser originates because the concept was popularized in the book Sharp Sports Betting by Stanford Wong. It can alternately be seen by other names including a basic strategy teaser. A Wong teaser is a two-game teaser in which teasing the spread moves it through the two key numbers of three and seven. In other words, it's a teaser involving favorites of between 7.5 and 8.5 or underdogs of between 1.5 and 2.5. If a line is reasonably accurate then you can assume about a 50 percent chance of either team covering. If the odds were -110 then you need to win about 52.4 percent of your bets to break even. To win 52.4 percent of your teasers you need to be able to win the individual games approximately 72.5 percent of the time. Because games end up being decided by three and seven more than 22 percent of the time, teasing through these two numbers increases the chances of covering a spread from about 50 percent to 72 percent or more (It's actually better than that because you are also covering the numbers four, five and six, and games can also finish with those margins as well). Over the long term, then, Wong teasers are one of the few places in betting where there is a positive expectation. In other words, Wong teasers are very good for your bankroll.

I'll let TTT explain the Chinese tease. He turned me onto them last bowl season.

It's great value and pretty successful. I tried to explain value and Wong teasers to my brother on the drive to Dallas today and it was a major failure.

I was really counting on WSU to cover over 59. Something has got to happen. BYU cant do it all.

I've got my funds from full tilt coming. Had a ton of extra to play with. Normally units were 50. This is first year at 100. Looking great so far.

It's tough to put in words and explain correctly.

It's like explaining lines to girls. Takes awhile to fully grasp how and why

what's your style?(asking everyone)

To bet a parlay or teaser here and there?

or

Spread many straight up bets kind of like diversifying a portfolio?

1. I hate teasers. I don't do them.
2. I'll do an ATS parlay if I like the game. Sure, why not? But I won't toss down big on it.
3. Moneyline parlays are a bad bet in that they're just more juice for the bookie, but in some instances they are a nice way to bet on heavily favored teams without risking a disastrous USC v. Stanford type situation.
4. If you do an ML parlay, always put one of the games later than the rest. This gives the option of hedging.
5. They say "never hedge", but funk dat. I hedge parlays all the time. I'll take a win-win when I can get one.
6. If you love love love a game, throw the fricking wood at it. I'm a firm believer in confidence points. I trust myself to win the one game I love love love. I don't trust myself to always hit 6 out of 10.
7. There will only be a handful of those "love love love" games per year. Don't let anybody talk you out of them. Throw. The. Wood.

I think he was halfway playing dumb to make me frustrated. He kept saying so what is value?

I finally explained lines to my girlfriend, but I guarantee that knowledge has since been replaced by Pretty Little Liars or lyrics to Bieber songs.

Today is the first I've ever heard of the "Wong teaser" or "chinese tease" and I do a decent amount of sports betting.

I'll have to look them up later.
