They don't. Use 5dimes over Bovada. I have money in both, but I only use Bovada to bet on dogs. 5dimes has their lines available immediately. Bovada won't post their lines until maybe 2 or 3 days before a game. 5dimes>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bovada

I wish 5dimes would put up game totals

Seriously. Already laid some down on the Wash State over 24, just waiting for the Oregon/ Ark State game to come out to jump all over that one. What do you think it'll be at? 64-65?
Posted on 8/24/12 at 9:27 am to LSUstudent2006
Some early books had it at 60 I believe. I don't expect anything under 64.5 though when 5dimes comes out

Other than checking out returning starters and qb's does anyone have any other info they gather for early season games? BTW I love the thread each week, lot of good info.

I don't really evaluate the teams or players at all. I look at the betting market, public sentiment, weather, coaches, motivation and in that order of priority.
Two statistical resources I use are greymatterstats and Accuscore but that's more for "like game" comparisons historically.

So do you follow the money on public sentiment? Looking at the USC - Vandy game and the last I saw it was running close to 80% USC, I am staying away from this one personally, but what does this mean to you?

That's the type of game I'd lean Vandy for sure.

Every couple of weeks, I set aside about $50 to $100 and try to win 5 consecutive bets, rolling everything over into the next.
I started with the Pats on MNF vs the Dolphins, hit the Thursday night CFB game, the Friday night CFB game, and an early start, mid-day start on Saturday followed by the Oklahoma State game to cap it off.
It works about once every year.
I did it with a free $100 sportsbook put in my account about 4 years ago since it was free money I didn't care so I bet it all over and over. Two weeks later, I had $5000 in my account.
They haven't given me anything free since.

The tout in you is coming out. And it's not pretty.

Whatever.
When you don't care one way or another if you lose the money (since it was free or you can afford to lose $50 or so) it's easier to bet games because you don't talk yourself out of bets.
Do I recommend doing that? Hell no. I just like to see if I can get 5 in a row with a small starting $.
