I've been to opens at Congressional and Pinehurst (last one). That 6" stuff at Congressional would lay over when you stepped on it and pop right back up like it was spring loaded when you took the next step. The thing about Pinehurst is the magnitude of the hog backs on some of the greens, I can't imagine trying to get up an down from this hard pan.

So, whatever happened to the traditional USGA commercials? The one where the kid makes what he thinks is an unwitnessed hole in one and the one where the two guys insist on waiting out the storming rain in a shelter come to mind first. Haven't seen either this year.

liberals protested, all that commercial did was demonstrate white privilege. They asked the USGA to change the commercial to show a black kid making the hole-in-one with the course worker being a transgendered she-male, but they refused...
