I wonder if a scratch golpher had to only play 3 rounds on this course if he could beat the champion playing 4.

If he practiced beforehand like they do then definitely. The course is clearly maintained recently to be very dificult for this event but there are some small advantages during tournament play. If a normal golfer hits into the grandstands he plays it from where it ends up. The pro gets a drop in front of the grandstand. If a normal player shanks it into the woods there is no area where the gallery has flattened out the grass. The course is playing extremely difficult but some of the exagerrations are ridiculous. The average scratch golfer with the same amount of course preparation time wouldn't shoot 25-30 shots worse than the average tour pro.

I don't know about a scratch golfer but, I would at the very least shoot 150 on this course

I shot a 92 the other day at the bluffs, I am not breaking 105 out there and you have 2 extra shots to do it. Maybe if I went out there with the intention of shooting a 100 and broke the shaft on my driver and played from the kids tees I could shoot a 95

For the life of me, I can't figure out why these guys are STILL hitting drivers, the consequences far outweigh the benefits.

Thats pretty good. I shot a 97 a few years ago (the last time I played there). Great course, just a bit narrow for my drivers liking.

Depending on where he stands in regards to the cut line by the time they start, he might.

Awesome, I love that course, it is so hard. I am going to go play Beaver Creek sometime soon so I can shoot something in the Low 80's.
ETA: Course was in awesome shape.

Zinger just mentioned the possibility of a fine for Garcia for slamming a TV microphone on the par 3 tee box.

It's a USGA event. Who's going to fine him? The European Tour?

I'm sure that this has been discussed, but I'm not going to look through 47 pages to find out.

How can I watch online with Cox???

I didn't realize they were allowing Casey Martin to ride in the cart.

You can write this off as another missed cut for Rory.
