Dufner pretty much just hits a draw right? That can't be good for a course that will make you shape your shots in both directions, I don't think he'll contend, but we'll see.

Who I WANT to win...
Bubba, Rickie, Tiger, or Westwood

I'm pretty sure he plays a fade.

So glad they are having Tiger, Rory, Bubba, and Phil all in their Featured Groups on USOPEN.COM for both days. So we get to see all of their rounds, unlike the Masters who picked random groups to follow

I've got 3 dollars on Brian Rowell at 1000/1 odds.

I don't know why because he's pretty much always a terrible pick when it comes to majors, but I'm going with Stricker this week. He always seems to disappear in major championships, but he played well here in 1998, and he's actually driving the ball fairly decent this year. HIs putter is just too good to not contend at some point, so I'm picking this week to be the week.
My 2nd choice is Luke Donald. He's been playing lights out for the past year and a half, and is very likely to break through fairly soon.

He might, I thought I heard someone say during a telecast that he primarily hits a draw, I might be wrong.

I updated the OP with the scoreboard and Playtracker (gives interactice updates on players, scoring, statistics, and course trends.)

I like Rickie this week. Rickie Barnes.
But I think Tiger is playing well enough to be there on Sunday. Will probably play conservative and that stinger 2-iron off the tee quite a bit. Have 7-iron into the hole and hope he makes some 10 footers. I think his confidence after winning twice the last couple months in Arnie's and Jack's tourneys has to be as high as its been since '08. We'll see if he can keep that going or if those demons of the last 4 years creep back into his head

Definitely out of left field

The fact that bubba is a great shot shaper and is really high on the gir list makes me think he has a shot.

Yeah maybe so, but his driving accuracy is pretty awful.

I know I wrote him off for the masters because of his putting. The masters is a pretty tight course also. I think if his driver is on he is one of the few players who can get to a negative number.

Yeah I wrote him off at the Masters as well, that was a mistake.

Not a bad pick. And I've been waiting a few years for Jason Day to break through and win a major, but I'm not sure how this course fits his game. Also, he's been kinda MIA this season it seems.
What's the early morning Thursday/Friday coverage like? Are we gonna get to see that early group of Tiger/Phil/Bubba Thursday?

One of the golf analyst guys, Geoff Shackelford, tweeted yesterday that it was only 4" high and didn't seem all that thick.

looks like they tee off at 7:30 in the A.M.. A better shot at seeing them on Friday for me.
