Good for Serena.
Props to Azarenka for showing more fight than 99% of the tour. Serena is clutch and Vika got tight.

What a gutsy performance by Serena.
One of the best women's tennis players ever.

Serena will play for "Golden Grand Slam" next year. If she wins Aussie and French to open the year, she would hold all 5 majors, including Olympics, at once.

Bobby will be here later to tell you she is THE greatest ever
it's getting harder to debate him on that front.

Anybody excited for Murray/Djoke?

I think the Nadal haters might have to admit that the sport is more interesting with Nadal around. I think this thread would be popping with Nadal in the final.

I just don't see Murray winning more than a set. I know Murray has beaten him before, even on harcourts, but I don't think in 3 out of 5. Djoker dismantled Delpo, who was playing at a higher level than I think Murray can show. Bottom line, I just don't think Murray has enough firepower, and Novak moves too well on the hardcourts. If this were at Wimbledon, then it's a coinflip.
You are correct on Nadal, though I will say that Nadal/Djokovic matches are a bit overrated, and many tennis fans hate them. It seems crazy to criticize five hour epics where guys are playing such great defense, but at some level, where is the sport going? Is it just going to be grindfest endurance marathons?

Today may have a bit of that.

I agree with this. Smart money is on Djoker. The way he moves on a hard court is sick.

I'm for whatever de-emphasizes the importance of the serve. It will always be important, but Mark Philippoussis shouldn't be in the final of a major championship. That's why I like this era so much.
