Yup, watching silva pull that shite in the ring again, I was hoping he would get laid out. I always like watching him fight, but tonight, the taunting was ridiculous

Serra beating GSP was a bigger upset imo.

I'd say Hughes over Gracie UFC 60 in 2006.

Gracie was 137 years old when he fought Hughes.

I havent read any of this thread, but I order most UFC fights in my living room. Here is my analysis:

Weidman took down Silva while he clowned.

Silva clowned until the strike that made his eyes roll back in his face.

Weidman jumped on him and gave him a business pummel from the top.

Game Over

Silva was VERY comfortable with losing and almost acted like he wanted to lose.

I don't think even a motivated Silva beats an elite wrestler easily at this point. Or I should say an elite wrestler who doesn't try to stand toe to toe with him. Sonnen pretty much showed the blueprint to beat him, was just too goofy to pull it off.

He was the champion at the time and had been for a long time. Gracie was old, hadn't fought in UFC in forever, and only knew BJJ. Everyone thought Matt was going to win. I don't know how you would look it up, but he had to be favored.

Yeah. Gracie was really old and had not fought in years. Hughes was still fighting regularly. It wasn't even close.

if you believe that, you are a dullard. that was his home gym for conditioning, how do you think he got people in his corner for the fight, his neighbors?

biggest upset has to be when couture beat sylvia. couture had just lost a few fights in a row at light heavy and was on the brink of retiring or getting cut. he was mid forties and came in to destroy sylvia.

it's called a joke

but knowing how arrogant the gracies are, i wouldn't be shocked

if we're talking big fights, sera over GSP reigns large. sera is a so-so guy who is short with t-rex arms and knocked out GSP back when GSP was still a striker first

Biggest one I have seen is Serra vs GSP. Randy was a huge upset. But, after he won you were like "Can't count Randy's arse out". Everyone knew Serra was a fluke and would get murdered in the rematch.

There were all kinds of crazy upsets in 07. Serra over GSP, Cro Cop getting Cro Cop'd by Gonzaga, Forrest finishing Shogun, Jardine over Chuck, etc.

I don't know shite about UFC but watching this press conference, Silva looks like he is tired of fighting and ready to retire...
