Not really, but it may give them ammunition to cross examine Joe for inconsistent statements. However, if he tells the whole truth now and doesn't change his story, he should have nothing to worry about with respect to helping Sandusky's defense.
It would likely hurt his own public image and provide good evidence for the civil suits sure to be filed against PSU.
Maybe you're right, I don't know. I just hope they all do the right thing, they have done the wrong thing so long. But there is never a wrong time to do the right thing, whatever that may be. Like I said, I would talk to authorities/prosecution or whoever I need to and ask them what actions I could take to best help them.

Well, IMO, Joe has already lied to the Grand Jury under oath by saying he wasn't told the details of what happened, only that there was fondling or inappropriate sexual contact.
I don't believe that for a second.

Joe's son is setting up an off-campus press conference for Joe to speak at.
Joe's not afraid to back down.

Boy, Matt Millen is totally in denial here. He is way too attached to Paterno and Sandusky to be commenting on this

LOL
this whole thing is deteriorating into one giant disaster

Yeah, sadly...Paterno legally wants to be fired. PSU has really done zero process on this and is responding to the firestorm.

It's all posturing. At THIS PC, JoPa will not say anything his son will not let him say. The school presser could have been a disaster.

Yeah, JoPa's son is just covering his fathers arse in this situation. Not surprising at all though

Yeah it sure seems they are all still in cover shite up mode. Have to agree with you there.

This should be interesting.
Sounds like Joe doesn't want to go gentle into that good night and be used as a scapegoat to protect the University from liability.
I wouldn't be surprised is they try to gag him again...this is why they need to keep him as an employee.
They can't have him give admissions.

+1
The real question though is will the authorities go after him for it? To this point, they have declined to do so. However, the public pressure may increase to take another look.
