Brewer's drafted the brother of the best catcher in the NL yesterday.

And Scott Boras' kid.

Yeah I saw that they got David Lucroy in the 29th round. Drafting Boras' kid is a good negotiating tactic in the future.

I wonder what his thoughts on Johnathan Taylor getting selected are? I mean the kid is paralyzed, must hurt his chances to make it to the show.

I just found out that one of my friends that I played baseball with until we were 18 got drafted by the Mets today.

He said it would take 7 figures to sign him so teams stayed away. Otherwise he would have gone between 15-30 most likely

Know anything about Taylor Guilbeau, LHP out of Zachary?

Saw he was a 'Bama recruit on the rant. I'm sure he'll go to school.

Pretty surprised Tulane Catcher Jeremy Schaffer wasnt drafted, but glad he will be back. No player on Tulanes roster was drafted and only 3 signees were taken. Matt Lane went in the 9th is the only one I think will sign.
Also two player from Belle Chasse HS drafted. Nick Flair and Austin Barrois

I'm not sure, I thought there was a good chance he'd be gone. I know he loves Tulane and his family is pretty wealthy, but I figured he'd be picked and get a decent offer.
Shocking fact I read earlier was that Tulane was the only C-USA team without one player drafted.

I imagine that Rice followed by USM led the way.
