Yeah but, Jack Armstrong? Did we draft him for our intramural basketball squad? He pitched a grand total of 17 innings this season as a reliever in 13 games. 18 walks in those 17 innings. There was nobody better than this at 99 overall? I really like Houser though.

And fwiw a lot of people really liked Armstrong a year or two ago, he must have had some injury or mechanical issues.

I really like the Tropeano pick too. My draft tracker is apparently a little behind. This past season he kicked up the Ks/9 to almost 12 with a 1.84 ERA.

Mariners apparently plan on drafting every eligible player out of UVA. Probably saved a bunch of money only having to scout one school.

Astros take Jonas Dufek RHP from Creighton. Another really, really good pick. Just threw a complete game against UGA giving up 1 run. 12-1 on the year with a 2.08 ERA and a sub .200 BAA.

TBH, the Springer pick looks bad when Jungmann's right there and you pass on him. But knowing the pitchers we've kinda stockpiled since then, I don't have a problem with it. Springer's a Hunter Pence type of player that doesn't look awkward while playing.

Also, didn't see anyone mention Brandon Meredith who we took after Tropeano. He led the MWC last year in batting avg at.... .389 with a .575 OBP.
He backed that up by hitting .272 this year though, so he seems to have struggled adjusting to the new bats.
