I haven seen enough of vcu to say whether I like their chances aginst butler. Butler really isn't that great but damn if they don't know how to win. They'll make vcu play their game and probably win despite having less talent than vcu. I think uconn has maxed out and uk is playing some pretty great ball. I'll say uk v. Butler. Butler loses another heartbreaker.

I'm not sure they have less talent. Butler has some really good players.

I shouldn't say butler isn't that good. They do nothing but win so they are obviously very good. I'm just saying I've seen plenty of them and IMO they are really not that talented. They get by being gritty as all hell, playing tough defense and being opportunistic. Watching them against Florida was ridiculous. It looked like a jv team versus an NBA team. They are just one helluva feisty jv team.

Anyone that doesn't say either UConn or UK is retarded. And if you're so sure, put your money where your mouth is.

Well that's great logic.

And I will.

Let's go! I'd gladly put down $$$ on taking the UConn/UK winner to win the game next Monday.

To say that anyone who picks Butler/VCU to win it all is retarded is, in itself, retarded.

Butler/ Uconn.

UCONN wins it all. Kemba won't be stopped and will put up a Jack Givens type perforamance in the title game.

I'm already wavering on my prediction.

I really think VCU can beat Butler. This is going to be Butler's biggest defensive challenge of the tournament. I'm really interested to see this match-up.

I expected all four losers to win this past Saturday, so FWIW:

Butler over VCU by 8 or so. Butler is much more disciplined and less nervous than Kansas.

Kentucky over Connecticut by 4. Walker won't be able to penetrate or score as easily as he has.

Then Kentucky over Butler by 12. Too many athletes who are hitting their peak.

VCU will be the best offensive team that Butler has faced this tournament. They are very versatile and have great movement. If they can pick-and-pop effectively, they have a really good chance, IMO.

The double ball screen where the first guy slips looks really good for VCU. It's hectic. The defense is never sure what is going on. Other teams like Florida run more of a pro style offense. They feed the post off of weak side seals and let their bigs go to work, and also rely on dribble penetration a lot. Pitt is kind of the same way. Butler can man up and be physical with these teams, and while they might be more talented, they really aren't outsmarting Butler in any way.

I think VCU is capable of doing that.

n the 2nd game, I like Kentucky to beat UConn. UConn hasn't faced a team with not only this much talent, but a true big man in Harrelson down low.

dear OP: UConn faced UK at UConn in an early season game that was televised nationally.
UConn THRASHED UK.

As a long time UK fan, due to actually living there and going to UK,
and attending games, I can only hope that the team has matured and also hope that they hit some open 3's.

Kemba Walker is the man.

I pick UConn to beat UK. Kemba Walker = MOP of the final four.

I like Butler to grind VCU down.

UConn to win the NC. Kemba Walker = the real deal.

Butler will not have anyone to defend Walker. Too quick, too good.

This could have easily been said about Kansas and VCU. I guess you haven't watched much, but if you had, you'd see that upsets happen. It might not happen, but Butler and VCU definitely have a chance.

UCONN beats the cats..i think coach cal's team will slip up and go cold shooting the ball..

Butler will beat VCU in overtime.VCU will be up 1 with 10 seconds left..mack will drive down and shoot and miss and howard will get the rebound and put it up and beat the buzzer..

UCONN vs BUTLER..everybody said butler had NO SHOT to beat duke last year..and just missed a half court to win the national title..I think butler gets it done this time..

UConn will be leading most of the game by about 6 to 7 points. Kentucky will make a run at the end, but Kemba Walker will make some big shots to seal the game for UConn.

VCU shoots lights out and takes down Butler in a very close game. Butler misses a shot at the end to win the game.

UConn wins the title by 8.

So what? What was that, December? I can honestly say besides the game film both coaches can use, that game means absolutely nothing right now.

Butler is the best defensive team in the tournament. As a team, they could give Walker trouble. However, as of now, I don't think Butler will make the final.
