If I've learned anything from watching the NCAA tournament through the years - when you need a big shot at the end of the game, give it to the white guy.

Hard to say that the tournament has failed this year in terms of crowning a true champion. Two 1 seeds and a team that should probably be a 2 seed. Sure South Carolina is an odd fourth team, but they didn't have a cakewalk.

Zags vs. Carolina would be a great final and be a return to normal College Basketball.

I don't hate Cal or Kentucky...but One and Done teams need to die and never win otherwise College Basketball losses. Every team will have one or two players...But your entire fricking team?

UK fans think Cal is helping them...he's not long term. He could have had teams that won it 4 years straight but he went for the easy route.

This years finalist is an anti-Kentucky philosophy year.

Agree totally on your Kentucky one & done opinion.

I'll never root for them, they are everything that's wrong with college basketball.

I'd be fine with anyone but South Carolina being the national championship

You realize other teams do it too, not just UK. We didn't make the rule, it's an NBA thing. Blame them.

UNC has a starting 5 of three juniors and two seniors

i've actually done extensive research on this. one and dones, unless we're talking about generational talent like anthony davis don't make final fours. usually it's teams with fringe nba talent that are juniors and seniors

As much as I hate him, Roy Williams has a knack of recruiting talented players who actually stick around in college.

.

UK is the most blatant offender. Duke's title team did the same thing, but they usually have one 1 and done guy, not their entire starting 5.

But they recruit the same guys, UK just gets them. Roy Williams admitted as much yesterday. Like I said, can't blame UK for taking advantage of the rule.

Gotta credit Roy for switching to a zone, it paid off for them big time

If I had a dollar for every time a team struggled with the zone in this tournament, I'd have quite a few bucks.

You call it an offense like it's not just a strategy used because of the NBA rule (and yes, it's an NBA rule not a college one).

And UK had two Seniors (Willis and Hawkins), a Sophomore (Briscoe), and a couple more off the bench (like Mulder) who contributed.

I do love how it's apparently Cal as the worst offender ever with one and dones single handedly ruining all of college basketball with it. All 300+ teams.

People "forget" that Roy, K, Self etc. also recruit these guys, we just get them. What is Cal supposed to do, just stop recruiting them all together?

Give me a team with experience, especially in the back court, any day of the week. Experienced guards are what win this tournament year in and year out.

Which is why I think Oregon is going to win it.

And before the year Duke only had guaranteed one and done. Good tournaments by Winslow and Jones allowed them to leave.
