MSU isn't all the great either.
Neither is Bama.

Look at that. Only 1 SEC team in the Top 10 and 3 Big 10 teams in the top 10

If UNC beats Clemson, Clemson or UNC will go before Ohio State gets in. This. Everyone with an objective view or common sense knows this. But the other side will argue it endlessly, and complain for months once it happens.
I mean there are 2 logical ways to look at this. The committee has always rewarded good wins, so UNC would get a huge bump up for that. However, there is a huge weight on UNC this year, that hasn't been on a team contending for a playoff spot yet, and that is 2 FCS opponents.
No matter what, we could potentially learn a lot from the committee this year, unlike last year, where there were 5 teams with 1 loss and FSU. This year, we can see if Stanford with 2 losses and a conference title is ahead of OSU (whether or not either end up in the playoff), and whether the FCS wins really matter or not (if UNC wins).
last year I was hoping to learn thought methods, and it didn't happen.
For example, I thought OU may be 1st this week, since they are an official conference champ and no one else has won a conference. The committee seems to "assume" the higher ranked team will win their conference title games for the weekly analysis

If they play we will find out. Right now Michigan State has 3 top-15 wins and Bama hasn't beaten anybody worth a damn.

Bama certainly cruised past Auburn. Yeah, they're much better than Mich State

I could be wrong, but I don't see them putting 2 teams from the same conference in. They heavily weight conference champions and UNC would be a conference champion. I think it would be between UNC and Stanford for the 4 spot if Clemson loses.
I think it will be between Clemson, Ohio State, and Stanford if UNC wins. Jeff Long wouldn't say anything about how he would handle a UNC conference champion. I think they are just hoping Clemson wins so they don't have to deal with leaving UNC out.
