yes they do.
and its not often a top 20 pick goes undrafted for a complete non health and then end up still having zero character risk afterwards.
really not a comparable situation. You don't think if La'el isn't completely innocent and goes undrafted you won't have a shite load of teams willing to pay him top round Dollars!?

Not a bidding war that gains you more money than the draft picks get.

What @JayGlazer said is true. Agent for La’El Collins met with the NFLPA to request he be allowed in Supplemental Draft. We’ll see.

No because they could just have drafted him on a flier in the 5-7th round and be paying a top draft pick nickels and have him locked up.

first you laughed at bidding war,

There are UDFAs that are considered "Prime UDFAs" that get offers from virtually every team. They get much higher signing offers/bonuses from other UDFAs and get to pick the team that they feel they can make a roster for.
That's why you will see a mad scramble after the draft. There are players that say they got calls from multiple teams in the 5th or 6th round that start negotiating the UDFA deals.
You also see a lot of players that get announced as a UDFA signing for one team and then wind up with another just a short time later...they got a better deal.
I mean we aren't talking a 10 million dollar bidding war, but teams definitely fight a bit over the top UDFAs.

but they didn't casue at that time, he wasn't innocent proved, now anything else irrelevant you want to deflect to?

The "prime guys" get like a 100k signing bonus. That's not exactly a situation i would be all giddy about

There are UDFAs that get pretty damn high signing bonuses.

Choosing who you go to and having a shorter contract and it being much easier to leave in RFA is what they go for.
Especially a guy like Lael that has to be pretty confident he will get a great 2nd contract.

Teams aren't that dumb. They will take the risk in the draft on the player because the reward far outweighs the risk
If he's a 5th rounder and never plays a down, who cares? Plenty of 5th rounders never play a down

yep... and those were guys that were never top 20 pick 48 hrs before a draft. Jesus H C man, take your defeat like a man.

Restricted free agency is fools gold. You are still basically under control of the team that signed you originally

we live in a new social politically correct world brah, owners don't want to be that guy anymore.

I guess well just see how it plays out

If he's trying to pull out of the draft and go supplemental, that's all you need to know.
His agent wouldn't pull out that nuclear option unless he knew they were fricked for this draft.
He can then clear up his name and be given a very high pick designation in the supplemental.

NFL should allow him out the draft.
He's either going to be a 2nd or 3rd round supplemental pick OR we'll never see him in the NFL.

I'm really struggling to understand this situation. Is it not clear as day that he didn't murder this girl? Things aren't adding up. If he goes completely undrafted, it has to mean there's a relatively high chance that he killed her.
LSU fans are 10,000% sure that he didn't do it, and so am I. So how can the NFL know more than us?
