I'm glad he won. Big fan. That shite seemed extremely fake though. Like CBS producer taking the kid out of Mom's hands and pushing him onto the green fake.

Spieth is almost exactly 7 months younger than Tiger was when he won the Masters in '97, so Speith still has three majors to go this year to take that title.
But to the point, how is the burden of proof on "Tiger fans" to establish that Jordan isn't the next Tiger. Isn't it on all of you looking for the next Tiger to establish that someone is. You're the ones always jumping the gun. A young golfer will need to do about 5 years worth of impressive shite before the conversation even begins in earnest. Tiger wasnt a closer at 20 years old either.
Dumb to compare a 20 year old kid in his 1st Masters to Tiger freaking Woods. And even dumber to say hes not a closer like Tiger at this point in his career.
Tiger won 2 tournaments when he was Spieths age. Spieth already has 1 win this year.

Exactly. I understand that people think Woods is done and are looking for someone new to electrify the sport, but it seems that every promising young golfer is the "next Tiger Woods", with nothing to back it up. Rory? Please. And this kid has a long way to go before people start mentioning his name in the same sentence as Woods. Do people call every good, young MLB pitcher the next Nolan Ryan? Or every good QB in the draft the next Peyton Manning or Joe Montana?

If Spieth makes it into the top 10 owgr Monday which he may, he and Tiger both crack top 10 at about the same time. Spieth younger but because he left after his sophomore year. Tiger his Junior year.
