Looking back on her career, Stephens will be disappointed after this one after that showing at the end of this set by Vika.

Sloane's footwork reminds me of Steffi Graf. Just like Graf, she is constantly split-stepping during baseline rallies. This isn't to say that she's as fast as Graf*; she just moves the exact same way.

*Steffi could have been a world class sprinter -- she trained with the German track and field team in the offseason and apparently she routinely put up olympic qualifying times in the 400 and 800** -- except that she was just really good at tennis.
**Only slightly related, but Bjorn Borg also could have been a world class sprinter. In fact, if Borg hadn't been pushed towards tennis when he was 12, we might have had a white man break 10 seconds in the 100 meters. Alas, the 200,000 year streak continues.
