Fed just served up arguably the number 4 or 5 best player in the world. Another Fed and Nadal epic match looming.

Can someone explain to me why the men's quarters it is possible to have a 1v4 & 2v3 matchup but in the womens it is possible to have a 1v3 & 2v4?
The men's makes sense, but I just noticed after looking at the female quarters the latter draw was possible. How the heck does that work?

Roger doesn't even have a non-English accent. He just sounds like a Brit.
And he speaks more articulately than 95% of people I know.

And about 8 more languages.
As to the way the draw is set up, I have no idea.

Berdych and Nadal waiting to come out of the tunnel. Berd is calm and looking around, at Rafa, at the camera, etc.
Rafa is hopping up and down, practicing strokes, lifting legs, jumping back and forth. I would be a bit annoyed if I was Tomáš.

Was pro-Rafa from the beginning, but just saw that Berdych didn't shake Almagro's hand after that match where Almagro hit him with a winner. (((in his ARM)))
WHAT A DOUCHEBUCKET!
What happened:
Go Rafa even more!

Berdych's serve has been pretty damn powerful so far. He has got some serious power on his serve and forehand.

I just got a crash course in Tomáš Berdych. He's right below Serena on my tennis
list.
Geaux Rafa!

After they place 1 and 2 in opposite halves, I think they flip a coin on 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and every pair down to 32. Some people think the coin flip is a bit of a fraud since this is one of the only times Fed and Nadal got the same half when one of them was outside of 1 and 2 - Outside the Lines even did a story on how it was almost statistically impossible.

I just witnessed an amazing point from Nadal. Tons of pin point placed shots in the rally from both players, a bunch of sprinting to reach the shots some you wouldn't think they could get to, and then an amazing winner from Nadal. Guy was down triple set point and now its in deuce. Damn good tennis match so far, very entertaining set.

Nadal just saved 4 set points including 3 in a row. Tie-break time

Buckle up boys. This should be a great match.

If Berdych loses this set I think he might fall apart, dunno

what a return to level it at 5-5
Posted on 1/24/12 at 3:58 am to castorinho
set pt #5
and it was long, ugh
nadal and hawkeye fricked the end of that set up, but at least this guarantees a long match.

These linesmen have been so unbelievably poor this first set in making the calls. All but 1 challenge has been overruled, and one that was called off for being too late would have been overruled as well if allowed.
These officials are just complete shite so far.
