What? three or four of you mention the cliche. Sure, the Sixers, Phillies, and Eagles have some stinker seasons.

But, the Phillies have two WS crowns in the last 36 yrs in three trips, the Sixers have a NBA title plus four EC titles over last 36 yrs, the Eagles have two SB trips in six NFCCG appearances since 1980, Flyers are a playoff regular with b-2-b 74-75 NHL crowns and in SC Finals 8 times last 41 years, Villanova with two miracle run NCAA Hoops titles since 1985..

Don't let the litany of last place Sixer and Phillies finishes fool you..Philly makes it's runs, and has a pro sports championship to show in three of their four pro major sports over the last forty years..and two NCAA titles in the Mens #2 sport..

Hell, outside of NY, LA, Chi, SF, Mia, Pitt, there aren't many that are on par.

Give me the Sixers stinker seasons with a rare NBA title any day over say Denver,etc..always being competitive yet never cashing in nor getting really even close.
