Well the title game that year should've been 11-0 Nebraska and 11-0 WVU.

Freeman probably had a hand in this. Left outside in the cold and they pout.

I didn't think Freeman was a pussy. Oh well.

Because it’s more televised than ever, not because the product is better.

Pathetic. Having a little fit because they didn’t make the playoffs. Weak.

I have to believe Marcus Freeman is going to jump to. The NFL this year or next. Someone like the Giants will try to hire him.

I think they're trying to make a statement. The players voted not to participate in an exhibition game, with all the potential opt outs and injuries. ND certainly doesn't need the money, and it's all about a top 4 marquis program telling the NCAA that this made for tv bs is fricked up. And they're right

Boo fricking hoo they didn't get their way for once.

Notre Dame has gotten the benefit of the doubt more than any other school in the history of college football... except for Bama. They couldn't let the ACC implode on itself leaving them out so Miami w/their win against ND had to get in. So it came down to Bama and ND. They just got to experience what every other school in their orbit has dealt with for years. When the money is on the line ESPN will back Bama no matter what. We all know had it been Vandy w/the exact same schedule, exact same wins and losses, and the exact same arse kicking at the hands of UGA they would NEVER have stayed at 9 and in the playoff.

I also, never want to hear a single story again about Freeman and Notre Dame molding young men into champions b/c they are very clearly teaching them to be sore losers.

"Play like a champion today" is dead. Now it's "Quit like a baby when things don't go your way."

Great life lesson to teach. Straight loser arse mentality.

What a bunch of self-important pitches.

Lost a lot of respect for Marcus Freeman

Bowls count on final record and rankings. They have not been exhibitions since the 1960s

Good for them. They had been a top 10 playoff team for all the rankings. Their fan base is probably livid.

LSU should’ve not played that BCS championship game against Alabama. They should’ve stayed home and made the committee decide which team was number one.

There was no committee and the BCS did decide who was number 1. It was LSU. Your problem was Bama was #2.

Idk maybe you’re saying we should just scrap the whole postseason and proclaim Indiana national champs now. Ok I guess?
