And Southern Miss does for the C-USA?
The world was different then, as most conferences had 8-10 teams, and there were a lot of independent teams. Southern Miss was a prize then, not at the level of a Fla St, but a consistent 8-9 win team (when there was an 11 game season), and usu played 2-3 SEC teams (and beat them pretty often).

NDSU with a program building win
People are going to rag on KSU for years about this but the best programs from lower divisions are just better than a lot of the programs in the top tier. The best reason not to play those "1aa" teams is not because they suck - it is because some of them are good enough to beat you and embarrass you in the national media.

Agreed. If you are gonna play an FCS team you need to make sure it is a shitty one!

This is sad. They must've lost a lot of players from last years team, I guess? A team like KSU should never lose to NDSU.
