next year is gonna be interesting. just so many guys that think they are gonna play and some of them are obviously not gonna play. it could be fun to follow.

I hope it blows up in their face. I wonder who will transfer/leave for the draft?

i hope so too. and it could. there are gonna be egos on the bench. 5 star guys that were promised to play are gonna be riding pine. that might cause some problems. the "system" kinda depends on bringing guys in for a year and shipping them out and those guys might not be leaving this year which could frick things up.

Would be naive to think Randle decision doesn't impact Wiggins. I think everyone is in play (UNC, Kansas, FSU). Clearly UK is crowded

Hmm....I guess it depends on what Wiggins wants.

Does he want to be like Kevin Durant/Michael Beasley if he goes to FSU (Putting up 25+ win NPOY) or go to a school like UK put 17/18 win a NC and possible NPOY.

I cant see UNC. Sorry...but they've burned their bridge with One and done's imo. I COULD see Kansas....but I cant see a one and done truly thriving in Self's system (McLemore is a RS FR)

So its still UK or FSU. Just depends on what he wants for his 1 year in college.

Would be pretty sick to see these new guys come in and understand that these guys who decided to stay are ready to frick some shite up, and jump on board. Calipari spreads out minutes enough and this team could just be ridiculous

If I were Calipari, I'd send Andrew Wiggins a copy of Space Jam with the note: "Would you like to join the Monstars?"

Everyone hopes so because God help you if they gel.

If the guys return that said last night are going to return this will be the deepest we've been since '96. It'll be interesting to see if Cal maintains that 7-8 guy rotation as a result.

well we have had 2 OADs and one was really successful and one wasnt. next year is also much different at kansas with the starting 5 leaving this year. great recruiting class but wiggins would be the guy if he came so i dont think we are eliminated because of any of those reasons. i just dont think he picks us.

Like who? The three guys potentially returning want to win and get that bad taste out of their mouth. And the only recruit in their class that I see with a potential attitude problem is the guy that just committed to them, knowing what those three freshmen this year said

Assuming those three freshmen do stay:

PG - Aaron Harrison, Harrow
SG - Archie Goodwin, Andrew Harrison
SF - Poythress, James Young
PF - Cauley, Wiltjer, Marcus Lee, Derek Willis
C - Dakari Johnson, Cauley

There's a lot of moveable pieces down low and at small forward. That is a whole lot of talent that if they gel, could cause some trouble

Well he said after the game "I may just have 3 teams of 5"

But it would be a travesty if he just plays 7 guys...

Whats your rotation (hypothetical) if all the guys except Noel return. Any quick guesses?

the alegged hate of kentucky's harrison twins is also interesting.

hate? Personally or their game?

Harrison twins game is extremely overrated. At their size, there is an abundance of players who do what they do.

sorry, i didnt mean egos as in attitude problems or bad kids. just in the sense that they know they can play and probably have been told they would, and then might not, which could create issue (it would if i were in that position) . there just doesnt seem to be enough minutes if some of these guys stay.

I meant ego problem as well. I think a lot of that team is mellow but Randle just stands out to me as someone who would be frustrated.

Great point!

I've seen 3 full games. Not once did either jump out as elite players. Sorry to rain on your nuthugging.

No nuthugging at all but their high school team sucks. They really show out on the summer circuit when they are around better players.

I don't think they suck. To say that would be silly. I don't think it's too much to ask top 5 players in the country to stand out in a high school game.

I can't see Poythress, Goodwin, and WCS all turning down first round money to come back and potentially have to compete for a starting job. Between the hijacking the program comments and wanting to maintain their status as a one and done factory, I'm not sure that Cal wants them all back anyway. Poythress is the one that I could see returning since he hurt his stock the most down the stretch, but if Wiggins goes to UK he would probably be looking at coming off the bench.
