I agree. As it should be handled. That may just be the "hopeful FSU fan" side of me that has rarely come out during all of this.

Unfortunately, I don't think Winston will be available for a possible national championship game. I hope I'm wrong though (if he is truly innocent of these accusations)

When it comes to high profile athlete rape charges I honestly can't think of one that was guilty. Kobe, duke lacrosse, Big Ben.

Some of them can't. They can't see the tragedy of it all, but only that the one hope of beating Bama is slipping away.
This whole thing is sickening from both sides. Today's society is all about instant gratification and now now now. It is one thing to say what you think is the truth, while not judging. It is a whole different thing to rush to an absolute judgement

Dave Meggett

I'm guessing the Vandy kids will be found guilty.

How many do I need to list?

With the amount of money and influence these three accusers had it would have been almost impossible to convict any of them without video and audio proof they did it. Even then fans would have said the females had it coming

I'm sorry but I think most cases brought against high profile people end up being fabricated. You were able to name one case in which one was guilty. I was able to name three that were innocent in the last 5 years

Eta: regardless, this has nothing to do with this case. I was just pointing out why my gut reaction is the way it is. I never once claimed it is an absolute. I think everything should be investigated to the fullest, which doesn't appear happened in this case

I asked how many you want. Two Oakland basketball players were picked up on rape last week.

Mizzou recently lost a RB to a rape conviction and a guard on the bball team transferred after his second sexual assault allegation cropped up.

I think your perception may not be accurate.

I could find multiple cases from Brian Banks to Johnson and so on as well. Regardless it has nothing to so with this case. Hopefully justice will be served

And what is truly sad is that all of these strong emotions coming from both sides are all because of football. Seriously, football. Fans of FSU defending him and simply destroying attacking the girl because they want their great hope on the field. Not saying that he is guilty or innocent, im just saying. On the other side you have fans that are seemingly blood thirsty for an arrest just to laugh at the Noles fan base. Never mind the fact that a young man with a seemingly very bright future life is ruined. Forever! But what really is sad is that if he wasn't the quarterback for a title contender or a Heisman candidate no one would give two shites. Wanna know how I know? Tell me how long the Vandy rape thread lasted

Well if were using duke lacross team as high profile athletes...

Off the top of my head i can think of Mike Tyson, Cecil Collins, Thomas Henderson, Reuben Patterson and Eddie Johnson. All charged with sexual assault or rape.

You think of Kobe, Big Ben, and Duke Lacross team that got off, so most of rape charges on high profile athletes are BS?? Right right... makes a lot of sense. 3 people found innocent in the last 5 years, yet wayyyy more were found guilty.

Please do some research. Especially before making a statement like that, which is just not true.

I gave a reason for my gut reaction. The end. I have also been able to look at both sides of the story and say both the accused and accuser have inconsistencies. Hopefully we can get to the truth. The end

No im with you and all. Just dont make a statement like you did and claim you were playing the percentages without actually playing the percentages.

Does it happen where people claim rape against high profile athletes and its not true and they get off? Yes sometimes. Im not denying that.

But the amount of them that are found guilty is way more than the amount of ones that get off.

And yea Monty that was spot on.
