The Capitals seem like they're unstoppable.

5+ goals in 9 straight home games.

So much depth. Even if you take away Ovis 1 timer from the wing, which isn't easy, they will just cycle the puck around until someone is open.

They have incredible possession in the zone

Colorado is destroying Montreal Haha.

Rantonin hat trick against Price

Can anyone stop Washington?

Pittsburg and Montreal cost me tonight. Learned lesson.

Pittsburgh can stop Washington in the 2nd round of the playoffs..they usually do.

The Montreal loss was completely unexpected. Montreal beat colorado 10-1 last time.

The Pitt loss wasn't as unexpected but even then pitt usually wins those. Calgary just played some of the best hockey I've seen from them this year.

I notice you tend to stay on the - side of the ML.

Damn pitt was -174.

Only one game tomorrow. Minnesota will be on a back to back, and Chicago isn't. But Minne is at home and I personally think they are the best team in the west.

Should be a great one.

The Pens offense is finally sputtering a bit with 2 of the top 3 goal scorers out, but Malkin is skating and should be back any game now. Sheary will still be a month though. As long as the main guys are healthy come playoff time, all that matters.

Pens and Caps have played in the playoffs just twice in the past 15 years. Caps have a long history of playoff chokes, but their bugaboo in the Ovi era has not really been the Pens. It's been the Rangers. Glad their window has largely closed.

Caps have more shutouts since December 1 than the Avs have wins. That's insane. The big difference, other than the defense suddenly flipping the switch to awesome (and we'll see if that holds up in the playoffs without that one elite blueline stud that most recent champs have had), is the Caps' third line has been off the charts great.

Teams obviously pit their biggest resources against Ovi and then the Kuzy line, so the Connolly-Eller-Burakovsky gets an easier matchup, and they are feasting on it. All three have at least 10 goals right now. And you can't shift your lines to matchup with them, because then Ovi/Backstrom or Kuzy/Mojo will destroy your third line.

Heck, even the Caps 4th line has been able to go toe to toe with teams' first lines from a defensive standpoint at least. They won't score much, but neither will you.

McElhinny doing work with Maple Leafs in goal. Still curious how this move works out long term for the Jackets.

damn, my memory fails me. seems like more.

This has to be Washington's year. The only team with as much depth is Minnesota, but they have their own divisional hurdle/nightmare to clear in Chicago.

Admittedly, it is difficult to keep track of Capitals playoff chokes.

some sites have Minnesota -115, some sites have Chicago -105

Can Rakim resist?

Minnesota doesn't have another road game this month.

They did. The refs looked at it for 10 minutes and decided "inconclusive"
