Condon in his 22 straight game. I'd be happy if the Jackets' got one point tonight.

How Atkinson isn't an all-star is beyond me.

3rd in the league in goals and 8th in points and not an all star. Pretty crazy.

Didn't know if I was getting DVed since I'm a newcomer to thread.

I just moved to a market with a hockey team and get free tickets on occasion so I've been getting into hockey as of late. So if I say something stupid, take it easy on me.

It's a nice little perk of my job. I'll usually get a set of 4-6 suite tickets to 3-4 AAC events a month and occasionally suite tickets to ATT Stadium events.

The best events usually aren't available, but they're still fun and I wouldn't be going to nearly as many if I had to buy them anyway, so I take what I can get.

Caps come to town once a year, and I'm stuck at home with a fever. That sucked. Well, the game didn't, but Mrs. Baloo isn't talking to me right now. I mean, it's one thing for the Stars to lose, its another for them to lose to a GWG by Jay Beagle. She's holding me personally responsible.

Looking at the playoff breakdowns as of now, Columbus (68 pts) would play Pittsburgh (65 pts) while elsewhere in the east, Ottawa (55 pts) would play Boston (52 pts).

The winner of the Metro will have a decided advantage. And 5 Metro teams get in as it stands today (Rangers and Flyers).

Not that it matters now, but CBJ and the Caps have each played 46 games, have 68 pts, have 30 ROW (regulation and OT wins), have the same adjusted points head to head against, and have the exact same goal differential.

Those are the only tiebreakers I've found listed on the NHL's website

DAMN, really? I need to look closer at how NHL does seeding

I know its top 3 from each division and top 2 left over are the WCs, but why wouldn't Columbus get the Flyers (most points vs least points)

im not doubting you I just find that.. fricky.

oh I just realized.. that's counting Washington as the leaders, so Columbus would get a match up with the 3rd from the metro yikes

The Metro is absurd. I think the tiebreaker they are currently using is goal differential in regulation. I'm not kidding, it's something bizarre like that, as they have the same overall goal differential. The race for #1 in the division is going to be intense, as the 2-3 series is going to be a macthup of a legit Cup contenders, one of whom will go home in the first round, and the other will earn a matchup with the divisional winner on their ice.

But the team that really wins out is likely 4th seeded Rangers. They'll probably flip divisions, and while they'll get a tough first round draw, if they get through, they are in the much easier Atlantic Division.

Damn. This is karmic payback for the Southeast Division, right?

I really hate the new playoff seeding forcing teams from tougher divisions to play each other earlier. While teams from weaker divisions have an easier path to the next round.

Calgary getting punished in Toronto.

Gaudreau got annihilated.

We sure as frick aren't going to the playoffs if these games keep happening. Piss poor offense.

Gives the Blues a chance. Altho Kings and Canucks are right there.

West is too tight to go on multiple game regulation losing streaks

Kings are melting down too tho
