If Philla wins this series more of a shocker than Vancouver winning

The Habs pulling this off doesn't make me feel any better because now it's apparent the Caps were just..unlucky..to run into this freakshow.
Which was obvious at the time, but didn't fit the lazy pre-ordained narrative. Even if the Habs lose Game 7, I'd seriously consider Halak for the Conn Smythe. He's been un-frickin-believable. Outside of Cammalieri, the Habs have been cmpletely outclassed by their opponents' skaters. This was actually the most "even" game of the series in the flow of play.
I am real curious about the Corsi. I'm gonna go compute it. Be back in a bit.

Yet another reason to hate Jay Bouwmeester. He cost the Flames both Cammalieri and Phaneuf. Great job, a-hole.
Habs CORSI by game vs. Pens (+/- on shots)
+14 (Loss)
-36 (Win)
0 (Loss)
-16 (Win)
-19 (Loss)
-5 (Win)
On the series, the Habs are -62. Not as bad as the Caps series (-136), but still this is a team that has essentially ceded possession and are banking on their goalie to bail them out. So far, it's working, but it's not a great strategy. You just need an asburdly hot goalie.

Tonight...we send it to game 7.

I don't doubt Vancouver can force Game 7 (just depends on which Luongo shows up), but I'm stunned that the Flyers have made it a series against the B's. They are one home win away from Game 7 after being down 3-0.

Boston's true colors are showing.

I hate Boston for being so despicable that I'm actually rooting for the Flyers.

I wanted to see Philly take it before the series began. Maybe I feel bad for all of their close calls since the mid-late 90's. They used to have some damn good teams...and when they finally got to a Cup Final Detroit punked their asses good.

Dear Eric Lindros,
Keep your head up and buckle your chinstrap if you want to avoid a serious head injury.
Signed,
Scott Stevens

Stevens absolutely destroyed him. I felt so bad for Lindros on a couple of ocassions...but he had it coming at times. Stevens was always a head hunter.

Scott wouldn't have gotten away with the blindside hits in Today's NHL...Eric was a great guy, last met him at the number retirement for his time on the Oshawa Generals where he won a Memorial cup as best junior team in North America...He was smarter than half of his fellow students taking business management courses at the University of Western when he was still in High School...reminds me a lot of John Tavares, humble and grateful for his gift...

Eric always seemed well-educated.
ditto about Stevens. He woulda been spending lots of time inactive for his shots these days. I guess he took advantage of the era.

There was nothing blindside about Stevens hit on Lindros. Eric had his head down and his helmet unbuckled, a terrible idea when you'e already suffered a concussion. Stevens made him pay.
Just like the Bruins are whining about Richards being a physical yet legal hitter.

Scott Steven's hits were widely considered to be a breach in unwritten protocol in the NHL along with Euro "Stickwork" if a guy was in the Trolley Tracks with his head down prior to Scotts' time you were supposed to ease up or try and avoid contact it is fitting Scott's career ended by concussions he was a cocksucker plain and simple...with respect...
