Really bad penalty to take and it killed the momentum they had been building for the previous 19 1/2 minutes. The Caps aren't getting as many shots on goal this game, but they were dominating the offensive zone. The difference seems to be that the Habs take advantage of every offensive opportunity they have. There will be plenty of blame to go around if the Caps don't win this, but look no further than special teams. Their character is going to be tested now.

Honestly, the announcers were gushing over Washington, but asied from the last five minutes of the period, I thought the period was even. Which means its the worst period of hockey the Caps have played in awhile. This wasn't quite like Game 6 in which they absolutely dominated possession, there was only one five-minute stretch like that.
